HealthCore’s mission, to help provide clarity on the clinical and economic value of different treatment modalities—has never been more relevant. Collectively, we’ve been building a base of actionable evidence for decisions more relevant to the real world since 1996. We have witnessed the power of real-world evidence (RWE) to close gaps in evidence that further close gaps in care. But in order to do this, even on a small scale, we’ve recognized the critical need for continued collaboration. As the FDA considers the introduction of real-world evidence earlier in the drug development process, and the medical community rethinks standards of care with the explosion of big data, such prospective regulatory shifts and the cultural evolution of care models are forecasted to deliver great promise and opportunity for 2016 and beyond. The generation of RWE for the optimization of the U.S. health care system will require elements of collaboration on a much greater scale.
As a reader of this blog you will receive insight into our past, present, and future as RWE continues its climb into the hands of some of the most impactful individuals in this nation. Above all, we will be sharing our perspectives on many hot topics within this industry and how these all relate back to our mission. How can we harness the power of RWE to shed light on what’s going on outside the controlled environments of the drug development and approval process? How can we make products and services more relevant to the consumer? How can we make health care higher quality, safer, and more affordable? Decision makers have the power, but HealthCore has the tool and the expertise to help stakeholders – on all levels – use it most effectively.
