Wilmington, Del. –March 7 , 2014—HealthCore, Inc., a health outcomes research company, has hired Vince Willey as staff vice president of industry‐sponsored research to lead its health economics and outcomes research teams.
Willey brings 20 years of clinical and technical experience in health outcomes and comparative effectiveness research. Willey most recently served as an associate professor of pharmacy and vice chair of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration for the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Before joining the university, Willey had several roles at HealthCore, including director of clinical pharmacy services and staff vice president of research.
“We are thrilled to have Vince back at HealthCore,” said Mark Cziraky, HealthCore vice president of research. “He has a great understanding of patient, provider and payer issues, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of controlled clinical trials and observational studies.”

In addition to his former teaching and research responsibilities, Willey also practiced as a clinical pharmacist within a patient centered medical home setting. He has made podium presentations at the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and the American Society of Clinical Oncology, among others, and published in leading medical journals such as Health Affairs, Circulation, The American Journal of Managed Care, Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy and the American Journal of Cardiology. Willey has published and presented on a variety of topics, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, mental health and cancer.
Willey serves as a stakeholder reviewer for the Patient‐Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and a member of the American Health and Drug Benefit and Journal of Managed Care Pharmacy editorial boards.
