Scientific Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research
Mr. Jason Tan brings more than a decade of experience in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) to his role as Scientific Director, HEOR, at HealthCore. His work has primarily focused on various observational study designs and analytical skills to achieve the full benefit of integrating administrative claims, patient and physician surveys, and/or medical chart studies. Mr. Tan has designed and conducted a variety of study types in the areas of comparative effectiveness, epidemiology, medication adherence and persistence, cost analysis, longitudinal data analysis, patient-reported outcomes, care management/patient support program evaluation, oncology, medical device assessments, and drug safety.
He has applied his research skills to a wide range of therapeutic areas including but not limited to dyslipidemia, diabetes, respiratory disease, multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, psoriasis, glaucoma, oncology, immunology, and gastroenterology from the perspectives of both private industry and health plans. Mr. Tan has authored and co-authored more than 30 manuscripts in leading medical journals. Prior to joining HealthCore, Mr. Tan focused on comparing different research methodologies and statistical models in evaluating mental health problems, the impact of drug name confusion, and medication errors.
Traditional methods of generating evidence, from single data sources and perspectives, often no longer meet the needs of our complex health system. HealthCore has the data assets and expertise necessary for going broad and deep in real-world evidence generation.
