About Gosia

Gosia Sylwestrzak leads the Health Economics research team within HealthCore’s Translational Research department. She conducts research on topics of insurance benefit design, payment innovation strategies, payer program evaluation, and healthcare policy.

Gosia collaborates with health plans, employer groups, and academic institutions on multidisciplinary teams focused on addressing some of the biggest issues in US healthcare. Prior to joining HealthCore, Gosia worked as a biostatistician supporting several Medicaid plans. She also conducted revenue forecasting for a state budget and planning department.

Early-stage breast cancer patients often need radiation therapy as part of their treatment. Evidence on how long the radiation treatment should last has been evolving. Our results highlight that payor policies can significantly accelerate adoption of evidence-driven care above and beyond what physicians are doing on their own.
