Executive Director, Research Alliances
Mary Madison, MA, MPA, Executive Director, Research Alliances leads the Real-World Evidence (RWE) expansion of HealthCore’s research environment. She develops and maintains relationships with public and private sector industry stakeholders, ultimately advancing the data integration into HealthCore’s research environment and the growth of an integrated RWE research network.
Prior to joining HealthCore, Ms. Madison was the Executive Director of the American Health Information Management Association Foundation. Previously, she was the Managing Director, Health Services Research and Innovation at the Chicago-based Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA). While at the Chicago-based BCBSA, Ms. Madison led multi-institutional health services research work with participating BCBS plans nationwide and academic institutions/government agencies such as RAND, Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland, AHRQ. This work included pay-for-performance, obesity, and specialty drug studies and analyses of managed care accreditation standards. She has presented at national conferences and published in peer reviewed journals. Ms. Madison is a board member for the Population Health Impact Institute and serves as a national program evaluator for the annual URAC Best Practices Awards Program.
Ms. Madison holds a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, Master of Arts in Literature Sciences in English Literature from Wesleyan University, and Master of Public Administration from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Her undergraduate degree is in Psychology from Northwestern University.
